Do I need an autoimmune diagnosis to use mOI?
No. mOI is built for people living with autoimmune and chronic inflammatory conditions, but plenty of members join without a diagnosis. Some are trying to work out what could be causing their symptoms, some have a family history and want to understand their risk, and some simply want a clearer picture of their immune health.

If you are still looking for answers, tracking your symptoms and bringing together your health, lifestyle and wearable data can help you build a clearer record of what is happening between appointments and give your healthcare professional more context.
Can mOI diagnose me?
No. mOI is a registered Class I Software as a Medical Device that gives you personalised health information and insights based on your data, alongside providing you with the ability to order immune-related health tests. It does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments or replace your relationship with your clinician.

It is built to complement your care, not substitute for it. If you have concerns about your health, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.
Where is mOI available?
mOI membership and the app are available to anyone aged 18 or over who lives in England, Scotland or Wales. Our tests, kits and home phlebotomy appointments are available in the same areas.
We plan to expand beyond the UK, and we will announce that when it happens.
Is mOI really free?
Yes. Joining mOI is free. You can create an account, download the app, track your health, upload your existing results, connect a wearable, get personalised insights and generate a summary for your clinician without paying anything and without buying a test.

You pay only when you choose to add something: a health test, or the mOI Health Coach programme.
Over time we are likely to add both new free features and also new paid features and we always update our users and those who have registered for our newsletter on these as and when they are available.
Do I have to buy a health test?
No. You can join and use mOI without ever buying a test.

That said, testing can add biological information that tracking alone cannot give you, and it is what makes many of the insights possible.

If you are not ready to order tests from us, you can start by tracking and uploading results you already have, and add testing later.
Can I upload tests I have already had?
Yes. You can upload genetic data from 23andMe or Ancestry and we will extract the genetic variants that are relevant to your immune health. We are currently working on the ability for users to upload results from other providers and hope to launch this feature soon.

We do not keep the raw genetic file you upload. We keep the variants we extract.
Can I share my information with my doctor?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons we built mOI. In the app, go to Settings and select Letter to Clinician. We will email you a formatted summary within 48 hours that you can share with your GP or specialist, or with anyone else you choose, such as a family member, an employer or an insurer.

Too many people go into appointments without the evidence they need to be taken seriously. The more you have tracked and tested, the stronger that summary becomes.
What is mOI Health Coach?
mOI Health Coach pairs you with a named, independent health coach for three months. It includes two 30-minute one-to-one video consultations, one at the start and one to wrap up at the end, a written plan, two structured written check-ins and brief email support in between. It costs £199, including VAT, as a single payment.

It is coaching, not medical treatment. Your coach is an independent professional, not an mOI employee.
What is mOI Clinical?
mOI Clinical is the version of mOI built for clinicians. It lets the specialists and health professionals who look after you see the health record you are already building, so that care carries on between appointments rather than restarting at each one. You stay in control of your record and decide who can see it.
How is my health information protected?
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and held on secure infrastructure. Only you have access to your account, and you decide who else sees your information.

We work to recognised standards: mOI Health is a UKCA marked Class I medical device, our quality system is built to ISO 13485 standards, and we are working towards ISO 27001 certification. Our Privacy Notice explains exactly what we collect, why, and who we share it with.
